My health, our climate

30.6. – 1.7.2023 | Liechtenstein

How does the climate crisis affect our physical and mental health? What measures are needed to keep us and the environment healthy? These and other questions were addressed by the first Liechtenstein FutureForum Alps on 30 June and 1 July 2023 in Schaan under the title “My health, our climate”.

Hot summers, rockfalls, diseases: The effects of the climate crisis are increasingly threatening our health. The Alpine region is particularly affected by climate heating. The consequences can range from cardiovascular problems, allergies and infectious diseases to anxiety and depression. At the same time, the Alpine region with its unique natural landscapes, different altitudes and partly sparsely populated areas offers enormous potential for health. There are also numerous synergies between health promotion and climate protection that need to be exploited. At the international conference, participants discussed what risks and side effects the climate crisis has on our health in the Alps and how we can best preserve it.

The FutureForum Alps Liechtenstein is under the patronage of the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, organised by CIPRA International and financially supported by the municipality of Schaan.
